Progress & Reflection

First of all, we chose a topic and picked out genres and what instruments we are going to be using. After a fair amount of voting we have finally decided to narrow it down to 3 songs which are:

  1. Hey Jude
  2. Superstition
  3. Thriller
The performance will be held in the 4th of December.

Reflection on our performance

  1. Hey Jude: I think we did pretty good, it was rather nerve-wracking than the practice so the singers as well as the harmonies weren't as loud but it went great!
  2. Superstition: The audience enjoyed the performance, clearly shown by their enthusiasm as they shouted and clapped.
  3. Thriller: There were some things that needed to be fixed but overall, it was a nice end to the performance. Although Thriller wasn't given much practice time as the other songs, we definetly managed it and I think it went so well!

Positions of Instruments

Michael - Bass
Amyra/Alysa - Guitar
Phoebe - Piano
George/Johan - Drums
Rest - Singing/Kolintang

Top 5 Ideas

  • Battle of traditional and modern music
This is a very interesting one as it is very creative and unique unlike any other ideas I have ever heard before.
  • Tribute to past singers
I think this is such as great ideas, as we are celebrating the songs that were created in the past.
  • Kolintang orchestra
Basically because this is the easiest option of all and because most of us know how to play the kolintang.
  • Disney songs
Because Disney has always the best songs and bringing back our childhood is always fun!

  • Evolution of music
Lastly, I think this is a good idea because we can get an idea of how music has changed over the past decades.
