Design Cycle

Design Cycle is a tool used by students to help them create in responses to challenges.

Steps: Investigation, Plan, Design, Create, Evaluate

Investigation:

Investigation is the part where we brainstorm all the ideas and put them into one place and analyse which one is the best idea of all.

  1. Choose a subject.
  2. Clarify and narrow down to top 3 ideas.
  3. Make a survey.
  4. Choose a final idea.

Plan:

  1. Brainstorm ideas.
  2. Create sketches.
  3. Keep 5 designs to choose from.
  4. Choose 3 final ideas.

Design:

Ideas for the project, such as materials or supplies.

  1. Include materials (screenshots, materials, time etc.)

Create:

Creating is where all the brainstorming and planning comes to life.

  1. Follow your plan.
  2. Use the right material.
Evaluate:

  1. Determine if your product was a success or not.
  2. Compare your product with your specifications.
  3. Evaluate & reflect on what you could improve on.
That's all the steps of the design cycle.

Inspirational Video

The inspirational video that I chose is Sara Bareilles' Brave. I know it's mainstream and all, but behind all that catchy tunes, there's a good message for us. It's not good for people not to say something and not being able to let out a piece of their mind. Don't let other people bring you down, and you just got to be brave.
